Budget Ratification & Covenant and Rule Enforcement in HOAs: What Boards and Homeowners Need to Know
Join us for a free educational seminar presented by the Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA)
A year ago, there was a change in Colorado law relating to budget ratification for HOAs created before July 1, 1992, which applies to many HOAs in Aspen. However, regardless of when your HOA was created, this class will focus on the budget ratification requirements you need to know about for your community. Also, since summertime inevitably results in headaches relative to covenant and rules violations, we will also discuss how to avoid these violations and how to deal with them if they arise. This class will focus on:
Budget Ratification for HOAs created before July 1, 1992, and HOAs created on or after July 1, 1992; Use restrictions found in the governing documents of your HOA; The obligation of your board of directors to enforce them; The obligation of homeowners (including members of the board) to comply with them; The importance of having use restrictions and rules which fit the priorities of your community; and Options which boards have for enforcement.
Date and Time:Wednesday, July 24, 201911:30 – 1:00 p.m.Aspen City Council Chambers, 130 South Galena
