An Aspen City Council member is questioning whether the local housing authority should continue to be an entity overseen by both the city and Pitkin County.
Adam Frisch said this week that he will present comments at the beginning of Monday’s regular council meeting calling for a re-evaluation of the Aspen-Pitkin County Housing Authority’s (APCHA) governance structure.
Currently, APCHA’s fourteen*-person office is funded by earned revenues from rentals and sales it oversees, with additional expenses covered evenly between the city and the county.
