Man says he would defy court order to list home

Embattled government critic Lee Mulcahy said he would not comply with a court order to list his local employee-housing residence for sale should the Colorado Supreme Court decline to hear his recently filed appeal.

Mulcahy said Tuesday that he would instead surrender himself to the custody of the Pitkin County Jail and serve time for contempt of court and that he would do so “peacefully.”

Meanwhile, Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo said that under no circumstances would he put deputies’ safety at risk through an armed standoff over an eviction notice.
