FREE Home Energy Efficiency Upgrades for Income-Qualified Residents
The Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE) works with residents to help them save energy, save money, and improve the comfort and safety of their home. CORE has partnered with Energy Outreach Colorado to offer free upgrades of up to $3,000, for efficiency improvements, which could include: furnace or boiler tune-up and safety check, insulation and air sealing, a high-efficiency refrigerator, high-efficiency water heater, LED light bulbs, or a programmable thermostat.

CARBON MONOXIDEThe City of Aspen and Pitkin County have enacted new, more stringent regulations regarding installation and placement of carbon monoxide detectors in homes, hotels, lodges, fractional ownership properties, apartments, cabins, etc. The carbon monoxide ordinances were developed jointly by Pitkin County, the Aspen Fire Protection District and the City of Aspen.
